Traveler: A natural person who has made a reservation for Business Valet’s valet parking service by telephone or via the website.

Parking period: The period during which the traveler’s vehicle will be parked. This is the period specified when booking, between the start date (including this date) and the end date (including this date) of parking.

Article 1: Reservation

1.1. Reservations: Travelers can reserve a valet parking service by making a booking, specifying arrival and return times.

1.2. Non-acceptance: Business Valet has the right to refuse reservations without giving a reason.

Article 2: Parking and returns

2.1. Parking: Upon arrival, car keys must be handed over to Business Valet.

2.2. Returns: The traveler must call Business Valet at the designated telephone number upon arrival. The vehicle and keys will be returned to the traveler upon presentation of a copy of the parking agreement and valid identification proving that the traveler has entered into the parking agreement. Business Valet reserves the right to refuse to release the traveler’s vehicle if the aforementioned documents cannot be presented. This is to prevent the vehicle from being given to an unauthorized person.

2.3. Delays: The return flight specified in the reservation, unless it is not known in advance, determines whether the vehicle will be ready upon return. Business Valet is obliged to make every effort to have the passenger’s vehicle ready upon arrival, however, it may happen that the passenger has to wait for the vehicle upon return due to unforeseen circumstances. Business Valet cannot be held responsible for this. The passenger is obliged to report any return trip on a different flight than the one specified in the reservation.

Article 3: Reservations, payment and cancellation

3.1. Reservations: Travelers can make a reservation for parking up to 3 hours before the start of the parking period. Bookings made within 3 hours of the start of the parking period can only be made after prior consultation by phone.

3.2. Payment: Travelers can pay in cash or by debit card upon delivery of their vehicle at the location, or during booking on the website via iDEAL.

3.3. Cancellation: Travelers can cancel their booking free of charge up to 24 hours before departure. For cancellations within 24 hours of departure or if the traveler does not show up, a fixed fee of €35 will be charged.

3.4. Changes: The traveler is obligated to carefully review a booking after making it. Any changes regarding flight dates, name and address details, and vehicle information must be submitted exclusively by email. Business Valet cannot be held liable for any failure to do so. If Business Valet takes action based on incorrect information entered during the booking process, Business Valet may charge a fee of up to €25 per vehicle.

3.5. Surcharges: For travelers who use Business Valet services with a discount voucher, we charge a night surcharge and a surcharge for additional parking days. This night surcharge applies to departures and/or returns from Schiphol between midnight and 6:00 AM and amounts to €5. The surcharge for additional parking days is €5 per day. Travelers can only pay the surcharge(s) in cash or by debit card upon return of their vehicle.

Article 4: Obligations and powers of the traveler

4.1. The passenger must ensure that all equipment (electronics) is switched off. Business Valet will only use the electronics necessary to move the vehicle (e.g., lights, mirror controls, seats). If the passenger’s vehicle does not start, Business Valet will not take any action to start the vehicle unless the passenger requests this. The risk then lies with the passenger who instructed Business Valet.

4.2. The traveler must ensure that no valuables are left in the car.

4.3. The traveler must ensure that the vehicle is adequately insured during the booking period, has a valid vehicle inspection (MOT), and has paid all road tax. Any fines or confiscations resulting from this will be borne by the traveler.

4.4. The traveler must ensure that the vehicle is in good condition. Damage and consequences resulting from vehicle defects are the traveler’s responsibility.

4.5. The traveler must ensure that the vehicle has sufficient fuel to move the traveler’s vehicle to and from the Business Valet parking lot. If this is not the case, the fuel costs plus a fixed fee of €15 will be charged.

Article 6: Liability

6.1. Business Valet will perform its duties to the best of its ability and with full dedication, exercising the due care expected of it. If an error occurs because the traveler provides Business Valet with incorrect or incomplete information, Business Valet is not liable for any resulting damages.

6.2. Business Valet is responsible for parking and speeding fines imposed by authorities during the parking period.

6.3. Business Valet is not liable for damage to the passenger’s vehicle that occurs during transportation and/or while the vehicle is parked. Parking is at the passenger’s own risk. The passenger is expected to have adequate insurance for their vehicle. Business Valet is in no way liable for theft. Theft before, during, or after the parking period cannot be recovered from Business Valet.

6.4. If the traveler proves that they have suffered damage due to an error that could have been avoided with careful action and/or as a result of a culpable shortcoming on the part of Business Valet, Business Valet will be liable for that damage to the extent covered by its insurance, unless there is intent and/or gross negligence.
